PrepifyLabs aims to meet WCAG 2.2 AA. What conforms, the limits we know about, and how to report an accessibility barrier.
In short: PrepifyLabs aims to meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA, and most of it does. This page sets out what we have built, where we still fall short, and how to reach us if something blocks you.
Adjust the site to suit you
Every page carries an accessibility panel. Open it with the button at the bottom-left of the screen, or from your account menu when you are signed in. Your choices are remembered on your next visit.
Text size - 100%, 115%, 130% or 150%, without breaking the layout.
Reduce motion - stops animations, transitions and auto-scrolling.
Highlight links - underlines links so color is never the only thing marking them.
Readable spacing - more space between lines and letters.
Dyslexia-friendly text - a plainer typeface with wider spacing.
Strong focus ring - makes the keyboard position unmissable.
Large cursor - a bigger, higher-contrast pointer.
Hide the support bubble - because a floating button that cannot be dismissed is itself a barrier at high zoom.
We also honor the reduced-motion and high-contrast settings from your operating system, without you needing to set anything here.
What we have built
Color contrast is enforced automatically. Every text and background pair across the learner, labs, partner and public pages is measured against WCAG AA on every single build, and the build fails if any pair drops below the threshold.
Full keyboard operation. Every control can be reached and used with a keyboard alone. "Skip to main content" is the first thing you reach on any page, so you never have to tab through the navigation to get to what you came for.
Dialogs behave properly. When a dialog opens, focus moves into it and stays there; Escape closes it; focus returns to whatever opened it. This is checked automatically on every build.
Everything has a name. Every form field, button and image carries a label a screen reader can read - checked automatically, because a visible label that is not connected to its field reads as blank.
Page changes are announced. Moving between pages tells a screen reader where you have arrived, and loading states announce themselves rather than appearing in silence.
Nothing depends on color alone. Pass and fail, active and inactive, and every status are stated in words as well.
Known limits
These are real. We would rather list them than let you discover them.
Interactive labs run simulation content from third parties inside a frame. We label the frame, but we do not control what is inside it, and its keyboard and screen-reader support varies between labs.
Certificates are produced as images so they print and share cleanly. Nothing is only available in the image - the public verification page carries the same details as readable text.
Timed exams. The countdown cannot be extended by the learner during an attempt, because the time limit is part of what a certification exam measures. If you have a documented need for extra time, contact us before you sit the exam and we will arrange it.
How this was assessed
Automated contrast, keyboard-reachability, dialog-focus and labelling checks run on every build and block a release if any of them fails. Alongside those, our QA team tests every feature of the platform, including keyboard-only operation and screen-reader use, before it ships.
