What the platform is and how to try it.
What exactly is PrepifyLabs?
A certification readiness platform for IT professionals. It combines timed practice exams that mirror real vendor exam conditions, guided courses, and browser-based hands-on labs where you actually perform tasks rather than read about them. You can use it on your own, or your employer or training provider can enroll you through a managed classroom.
Can I try it before paying anything?
Yes. Every practice exam has a free tier that gives you 40 questions from that exam, with no card required. The 40 are the same every time, so you can measure improvement against a fixed set. Selected courses also carry a free demo exam so you can judge the question style before committing.
Do I need to install anything?
No. Everything runs in a current browser, including the hands-on labs - there is no virtual machine to download, no client to install and no browser extension. A stable connection matters more than a fast computer, because the lab environment runs on our side rather than yours.
How do I know the questions match the current exam objectives?
Every exam is mapped to a published objective domain, and content is reviewed when a vendor revises its blueprint. If you believe a question is out of date or wrong, report it from the support page under "Exam / course content" - it reaches the content team rather than the general queue, and a reviewer checks it against the current published objectives.
What is the difference between a course and a practice exam?
A practice exam tests you under timed, exam-like conditions and produces a score and a certificate. A course teaches - lessons, reading and often attached labs - and is designed to be worked through rather than sat. Most people use a course to learn the material and practice exams to confirm they are ready.

How long do I keep access to an exam I buy?
Single practice exams are sold as recurring subscriptions in 1, 3, 6 and 12 month terms. You keep unlimited access to that exam while the subscription is active, and it renews automatically until you cancel. Longer terms cost less per month than paying monthly.
What happens when my term ends?
Access to that exam stops and it moves out of your active list, but nothing is deleted. Your attempt history, your scores and any certificate you earned stay in your account permanently, and they come straight back if you resubscribe later.
Can I retake an exam, and do I always get the same questions?
You can retake as many times as you like while you have access. Questions and answer options are drawn and ordered per attempt, so a retake is not a memory test of the previous run. The free 40-question tier is the deliberate exception - it is fixed so you can measure progress against a constant.
Why did my exam submit itself when I switched tabs?
Timed exams are focus-proctored. Leaving the exam tab is counted, you are warned each time, and the attempt ends automatically once you exceed the allowance - three switches are permitted by default, so the fourth ends it. The count is kept on the server, so closing the tab or refreshing does not reset it. If you have a documented reason to need this relaxed, contact support before you sit the exam.
What is a demo exam?
A free preview attached to some courses. It is a real exam experience but marked as a demo: it does not produce a certificate and it is excluded from your statistics and pass rates, so trying one can never drag your average down. It stays in your history so you can see what you did.
Can I pause an exam and finish it later?
No - a timed exam runs to its clock, because pausing would defeat the point of rehearsing under exam conditions. Only one live session can be open at a time across exams and labs, so start one when you can give it the full duration.
What is the Exam Coach?
An in-exam assistant that can explain concepts and terminology while you work. It never sees the answer key, never changes your exam state and cannot tell you which option is correct - it is there to unstick your understanding, not to sit the exam for you.

What is a hands-on lab?
A guided, browser-based environment where you carry out real tasks - configuring, troubleshooting and building - against a scenario, with instructions alongside. It is the part of studying that reading cannot replace, and it is where most people find the gaps in what they thought they knew.
What do I need to run one?
A current browser and a stable connection. Nothing is installed on your machine and nothing runs locally, so a modest laptop is fine. A larger screen genuinely helps, because you are reading instructions and working in the environment at the same time.
Can I stop partway through and come back?
Yes. Your session is saved and you have a rolling seven-day window to resume it. The window is rolling rather than fixed - every time you work on the lab it extends again from that moment, so active work is never cut off. You are warned before a saved session is about to lapse.
Is my lab time tracked?
Working time is recorded, not wall-clock time, so leaving a tab open overnight does not inflate your figures. That is what your progress - and your instructor, if you have one - actually shows.
Is there an assessment at the end of a lab?
Many labs finish with a short assessment covering what you just did. The question order is shuffled per session and then frozen the first time it is served, so the paper cannot change underneath you mid-attempt. Grading is read-only and never alters the lab environment.

Courses, Learning Pathways and what a term covers.
What is a Learning Pathway?
Our name for a bundle - a set of exams and courses sold together at a lower price than buying the same items one by one. Each pathway shows exactly what is inside it and what those contents would cost separately, so the saving is stated against real prices rather than an invented list price.
If I buy a 1-month pathway, how long do I keep the courses inside it?
One month - the same term as everything else in it. The term you buy governs every item in the pathway, exams and courses alike. This is worth stating plainly because it used to work differently: a bundled course previously fell back to a longer default license, which made a 1-month pathway the cheapest route to six months of a course. That is fixed, and the price comparison you see is calculated on the same term you actually receive.
How is a pathway priced?
Either at a price we set directly, or as a percentage off whatever its contents cost at the term you choose. In the second mode the discount is true by construction: if an item inside goes on sale, the pathway price follows it down automatically rather than quietly becoming a worse deal than buying the parts.
Can I buy a single course without a pathway?
Yes, where the course is individually purchasable, and in the same 1, 3, 6 and 12 month terms as exams. Some courses are only available inside a pathway or through a training provider, and those are marked accordingly.
What happens to a pathway when its term ends?
Access to the items inside it ends together, on the term you bought. Your progress, attempt history and certificates remain in your account, and you can renew or buy any individual item separately afterwards.
Pricing & billing
Currency, payment, invoices, cancellation and refunds.
What currency are your prices in?
All prices are in US dollars (USD), and every charge, invoice and refund is processed in USD. If your card is issued in another currency your bank converts at its own rate and may add a foreign transaction fee - that conversion happens on their side, so the amount on your statement can differ slightly from the figure shown at checkout.
How do I pay, and are my card details safe?
Payments are handled by Stripe. Your card number never reaches our servers and we never store it - we hold only the payment reference Stripe returns, which is what lets us match a payment to your access and issue a refund if one is due.
Can I cancel at any time?
Yes. Cancelling stops the next renewal and you keep everything you have paid for until the end of the term you already bought - nothing is cut off the moment you cancel. You can cancel from your billing area without contacting anyone.
Do I get an invoice?
Yes, for every payment. Invoices are downloadable from your account, carry our registered company details and business registration number, and are valid supporting documents for your own bookkeeping or an expense claim.
What is your refund policy?
Refunds are available within 7 days of purchase where the item is substantially unused. "Substantially unused" is the important part: a practice exam you have sat in full, or a lab you have completed, has been delivered. The full terms are on our Refund Policy page - and if you are unsure, ask before you use the item rather than after.
Do longer terms work out cheaper?
Yes. Every step up the ladder costs less per month than the one below it, which is why a 12-month price is not simply twelve times the monthly price. The saving is shown against the monthly rate on each product page, so you can see the difference before choosing.
Is the price I see the price I pay?
Yes. The amount shown at checkout is the amount charged, and any tax required in your jurisdiction is displayed there before you pay rather than added afterwards.
Earning, sharing and verifying a certificate.
Do I get a certificate when I pass?
Yes. Passing a qualifying practice exam issues a certificate of achievement in your name, with the certification title, the date awarded and a unique certificate ID. Demo exams are excluded and do not issue one.
Can an employer verify my certificate?
Yes, and they need nothing from you but the certificate ID. Anyone can open our public verification page, enter that ID and see the official record - no account, no email address, nothing to install. Sharing the verification link opens the record directly.
Does the certificate show my score?
No, and neither does the public verification record. The certificate states that you achieved the standard, not the mark you achieved it with - so verifying a credential confirms the achievement without disclosing your exact percentage to whoever you shared it with. Your own score is always visible to you in your results history.
Is a PrepifyLabs certificate the same as the vendor certification?
No, and we are direct about this. Ours certifies that you passed our practice examination for that certification. It demonstrates readiness and is a legitimate thing to show an employer or a manager, but it is not issued by the vendor and does not replace sitting their exam.
What if I lose my certificate or need it again?
Nothing is ever lost. Sign in and download it again from your certificates page as a high-resolution PDF, as many times as you need. The certificate ID does not change, so any link you shared previously still resolves.
Teams & partners
Seats, classrooms, LMS integration and instructors.
How do seats work for a team or training organization?
A seat is a placement in a classroom rather than a license tied permanently to one person. You buy a number of seats, place learners into classrooms, and manage them from the partner portal. Staff accounts - instructors and viewers - never consume a seat.
If a learner leaves, can I reuse their seat?
Yes. Seat accounting counts distinct learners served, so moving a student between your own classrooms costs nothing. Removing a learner and placing a different one uses capacity you already paid for rather than requiring a new seat.
Can PrepifyLabs run inside our existing LMS?
Yes, over LTI 1.3. Learners launch straight from your LMS without a second sign-in, and an unrostered launch can provision the learner automatically so you do not have to pre-load a roster. It works with any LTI 1.3 compliant LMS.
Do scores flow back into our gradebook?
Yes. Grade passback returns results to your LMS gradebook automatically, and an administrative score correction re-pushes so the two systems do not drift apart. Deep Linking is not supported and is not planned.
What happens to a learner who is removed from our organization?
Access granted through your organization ends with the placement, because it is scoped to membership. Anything that learner bought personally with their own card is untouched - we never confiscate a purchase someone made themselves.
Can our instructors see everything our learners do?
Instructors and viewers are scoped to the classrooms they are assigned to, and are read-only outside them. They can see progress and results for their own classes. They cannot see a learner's billing, their privacy requests, or any report a learner files about your organization - those are locked to our team in code and cannot be switched on.
Can a class be time-limited?
Yes. A classroom can carry an end date, after which its content freezes for those learners. Results and records are kept rather than deleted, so you retain the evidence of what was completed.
Account & privacy
Sign-in, two-factor, your data and who can see it.
How do I reset my password?
Choose "Forgot password" on the sign-in page and enter your email. A secure, single-use link is emailed to you. If it has not arrived within a few minutes, check your spam folder - it comes from our no-reply address.
Can I turn on two-factor authentication?
Yes. We support app-based two-factor using any standard authenticator - Google Authenticator, Authy, 1Password and the rest. It is built in rather than delegated to a third-party service, and you are issued recovery codes when you enable it. Keep those somewhere safe; each one works once.
What do you do with my personal data?
We hold what is needed to run your account and your learning record, and we do not sell it. Payment card details never reach us at all - Stripe holds those. Our Privacy Policy sets out exactly what is stored, why, and for how long.
Can I export or delete my data?
Yes to both. You can request a full export of your personal data, and you can request erasure. Erasure anonymizes your record rather than shredding it outright, because certificates that have been issued and verified by third parties must stay verifiable - your identity is removed while the credential itself remains valid for anyone holding the ID.
Who can see my exam results?
You always can. If an employer or training provider enrolled you, the instructors on those classrooms can see your progress and results for the classes you are placed in - that is the point of a managed classroom. Nobody else can, and a personal purchase you made yourself is never visible to an organization.
Why was I signed out when I started a session elsewhere?
Only one live exam or lab session can run at a time on an account, which is what stops a single subscription being shared. Starting a session elsewhere ends the one you had open. If you see this and were not working elsewhere, change your password and contact us.
Technical & access
Browsers, accessibility, languages and reporting faults.
Is PrepifyLabs accessible?
We build to WCAG 2.2 AA. Color contrast, keyboard reachability, dialog focus and form labelling are all checked automatically on every build, and a release is blocked if any of them fails - measured rather than eyeballed. Our full Accessibility Statement sets out what conforms, the limits we know about, and how to report a barrier.
How do I change text size, contrast or motion?
Open the accessibility panel using the button at the bottom-left of any page, or from your account menu when you are signed in. You can set text size up to 150%, switch on bolder text, reduce motion, underline links, widen line spacing, use a dyslexia-friendly typeface, strengthen the focus ring, enlarge the cursor, and hide the support bubble. Your choices are remembered next time. We also honor the reduced-motion and high-contrast settings from your operating system automatically.
Can I use PrepifyLabs with a keyboard or a screen reader?
Yes. Every control is reachable and operable with a keyboard alone, and "Skip to main content" is the first thing you reach on any page, so you never have to tab through the navigation. Dialogs keep focus inside them and hand it back when they close, moving between pages is announced, and every field, button and image carries a name a screen reader can read. Interactive labs are the exception: they run third-party simulation content inside a frame, and its support varies.
I need extra time, or an exemption from focus proctoring. Is that possible?
Contact support before you sit the exam and explain what you need. Administrators can grant additional time on a session. Ask in advance - an attempt that has already ended cannot be changed retrospectively. The countdown itself cannot be extended mid-attempt, because the time limit is part of what a certification exam measures.
Which browsers do you support?
Current versions of Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari on desktop, and their mobile equivalents for reading and reviewing. Timed exams and hands-on labs are best on a desktop or laptop: they need screen space and a stable connection, and a phone will make a two-hour exam harder than it needs to be.
Do you offer the platform in other languages?
Not yet - the platform and our support are in English. We deliberately do not machine-translate exam questions, because a mistranslated question is worse than an untranslated one when the wording is the thing being tested.
Something is broken. What is the fastest way to get it fixed?
Use the support form and pick "Technical support". Tell us what you expected, what happened instead, the exact name of the exam, course or lab, and paste any error message in full. A screenshot of the whole browser window helps more than a crop. Most first replies go out within 15 to 30 minutes.
