The first domain is the ground the rest stands on: tenants and domains, the identity model in Microsoft Entra ID, multifactor authentication and conditional access, the Exchange, SharePoint, Teams and OneDrive services Copilot reads from, and which of the seven admin centers a given task actually lives in. The second is the largest, and it is where a governance failure would show up first - sensitivity labels, data loss prevention, retention labels against retention policies, insider risk, Compliance Manager, and the permission model that decides what an assistant may surface to whom. The third is the day the organization goes live: licensing and pay-as-you-go, the feature controls an administrator can and cannot set, the readiness and usage reports and what each one does not measure, organizational prompts, and the approval and lifecycle of agents from the moment one is built to the day it is withdrawn.
One thing to settle before you start: Microsoft now calls the product Microsoft Copilot, while the exam objectives still say Microsoft 365 Copilot. They are the same thing, nothing about how it behaves has changed, and these questions use the wording the paper uses. The commonest wrong preparation for AB-900 is to study the assistant rather than the administration of it. Knowing how to phrase a good prompt earns almost nothing here. What the paper asks is which control is the narrowest one that meets a requirement, which report actually holds the figure somebody is about to quote in a board pack, which admin center owns a setting, and what a permission model means for two colleagues who ask the same question and get different answers. Microsoft 365 Copilot certification questions are written from the administrator's chair, and the reasoning is the same reasoning as any other governance decision: establish what is being asked for, then find the smallest thing that delivers it.
